Finding the birth mansion and counting distance

In Sukuyo, the lunar mansion the Moon occupied on someone's birth date becomes their birth mansion, one of twenty-seven. Compatibility is read by counting how many positions separate your birth mansion from the other person's, and giving that distance a name. The same position is called Mei; the other distances cycle through categories such as Gyotai, Eishin, Yuusui, Ankai and Seiha according to a fixed pattern.

Different categories and an asymmetry between views

Eishin describes a category where two people tend to nurture each other, Yuusui a comfortable but easily neglected category, and Ankai a category with strong attraction alongside a tendency toward lasting hurt. Because the counting direction differs depending on who you count from, your category for the other person and their category for you can differ. This is a feature of the system, not an error — a position that feels comfortable to one side may be read differently by the other.

Using it day to day

Rather than sorting categories simply into good or bad, it helps to compare which category tends to appear in which real situation. For an Ankai relationship, agreeing on a contact interval before feelings drift apart can help; for a Yuusui relationship, deliberately making plans rather than letting comfort lead to neglect can help. Translate a category into a specific, checkable habit rather than treating it as a verdict.

Use it as reference

This public guide explains what the screen considers and how its output can be used. It is not a diagnosis, medical, legal, financial or investment advice, and it cannot establish another person's private thoughts. Keep uncertainty in the input visible, compare the wording with real conversations and conditions, and turn only the useful part into a small check or action. There is no need to repeat a reading until it gives a preferred answer. If the process increases distress, step away from the screen and seek support from someone you trust or an appropriately qualified professional. A result is most useful when it makes your next conversation, boundary or practical decision clearer rather than replacing it.

Frequently asked questions

How is my own birth mansion determined?

Your birth mansion is the lunar mansion the Moon occupied on your birth date, one of 27 possible mansions. Counting the distance between two people's birth mansions gives that distance a category name, such as Mei, Gyotai, Eishin or Yuusui, Ankai, or Seiha, following a fixed pattern.

Why does the category look different depending on who is counting?

Because distance is counted from one person's mansion to the other's, the result can be asymmetric, this is a built-in feature of the system, not an error. It helps to translate the category into a concrete habit, such as agreeing on a contact interval for an Ankai-type relationship, rather than treating the name itself as a verdict.

What if a result does not fit my experience?

You do not need to force events to fit an interpretation. Check the input assumptions and compare the explanation with your actual circumstances. You may use only the helpful parts as prompts for a small action or a conversation, or decide that the result is not useful to you.
